But..but...the 1980’s was the decade of greed and indifference! People starved! Homeless people were created by the tens of millions! Yadda! Yadda! Yadda!
I love how lefties harken back to a “golden age” in politics, when you know darn well most of those folks lamenting its loss were no fans of it when it was around. Obama reviled Reagan in his book, yet now he invokes him whenever he can.
BTW, I *also* remember the Speakership of “Fort Worth”(less) Jim Wright during the 80s. If there has been a more partisan, more politically poisonous Speaker of the House than that worm, it hasn’t been in my lifetime. So the good ol’ days weren’t always good.
