Sign in High School Promotes Population Control, Tells Teens Two Kids Maximum
Life News ^ | Christine Rousselle

Posted on 10/18/2013 9:54:39 AM PDT by Morgana

Fr. John Hollowell, a priest and blogger from Indiana, saw a disturbing sign in the hallways of Northview High School in Brazil, IN.

At first when I walked past the sign I thought to myself – “Oh, cool, they’re starting to catch on that our population levels are at a critical phase and that we’re heading for a demographic winter because no one is having kids anymore; they’re trying to get the word out that our population growth is trending towards a crisis….”

Then I literally had a sick feeling in my stomach when I realized I had the sign completely wrong.

In 1968, the book The Population Bombwas released and predicted, among other things, mass famine and death from starvation due to overpopulation. The book initially claimed that there was no possible way for India to feed its population of 200 million. Since the book was published, India’s population has grown to over a billion, and while malnourishment levels are unacceptably high, it is mostly due to corruption and and government ineffectiveness, not overpopulation. The mass starvation due to food shortages never came to fruition–food production actually increasedfaster than ever before.

Despite the completely wrong predictions in The Population Bomb, the idea that the world is becoming grossly overpopulated has remained in the public’s mind. This has led to a shockingly low fertility rate in the western world–almost all of Europe is not reproducing at replacement-level rates.

It is not a school’s job to dictate family size to its students, but I am not at all surprised by this sort of rhetoric. This ridiculous project is grounded in junk science and overly-hysterical predictions, and should not be presented as fact to students.

There’s no more malleable fool than an old fool. Good to see this “old fool” woke up, but it is probably too late to teach his catechumins the “correct message” and the evil behind the school message.

Only two with each baby’s momma for the boys? I have to ask because there is a man in Tennessee who have like 29 kids with several baby’s mommas.

Which of Obama’s policies do NOT promote population control?

Energy?
Economic?
Foreign Aid?
Global Warming Hoax?
Mid-East destablization?
Absorbing Illegal Immigrants into gov’t programs?
Pro-abort, contracepting, consequence free sex?
Homosex unions?

Zero population growth, indeed a moderate but steady diminution in our population levels, is a desirable goal for reasons quite apart from Malthusian fear mongering.

The population of America has more than doubled my lifetime and, while the problem is not feeding these people, it is how they vote, how they intrude on my lifestyle, how they make demands on space, water, recreational areas, and highways. How the burgeoning mass of people clamoring for a share of limited resources demand political solutions, such as land-use controls, which inevitably infringe on my liberties (and yours whether you realize it or not) and cumulatively generate a real threat to conservative values.

I’m sure Father wants more to get married and “go ye therefor and populate the earth” but that is the old fashion way.

Now it’s have unprotected sex out of wedlock and populate the welfare system. The democrats way.

The Demographics of Brazil, Indiana from Wikipedia:

“The racial makeup of the city was 97.1% White, 0.6% African American, 0.1% Native American, 0.5% Asian, 0.6% from other races, and 1.0% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.6% of the population.”

Now, imagine the cries of “genocide” that would ensue if such a sign were put up in a public school in a “diverse” community. Imagine if the sign were printed in Spanish.

Make no mistake: if your skin color is that of 97.1% of the population of Brazil, Indiana, the Bad People don’t want you around, and they are going to replace you, whether it’s through immigration, or messages like this, which resonate with you because people like you actually care about open space, the environment, etc. The people who are intended to replace you don’t care about those things.

Totally agreed. America was a better and more free place when it wasn’t as crowded with people. Look what happened to California since the 70s. It was a middle class paradise, a family could have a single breadwinner and live in a beach town. Now you have to be a millionaire or you have to live 20 to a house like the Mexicans.

I agree with everything you’ve written. I write only to amplify this point: Only people like you care about the values associated with a stable population. So the powers that be will use those things that you care about: resource scarcity, crowding, environmental values, etc., as a weapon against you and the people like you. You and I will are encouraged to be “responsible” in our family planning decisions, while our replacements are encouraged to have large families to further their “vibrant” and “energetic” “diverse” communities.

It isn’t hard to understand Socialism’s war on humanity if you consider the spiritual dimension. Socialists are representatives of the devil whose ambitions are the extermination of the human race and the condemnation of human souls as an affront to God.

Yeah, funny that.

Imagine if this were posted in inner-city Indianapolis in a majority black or Hispanic school — in Spanish there.

The outcry would be all over CNN and the alphabet networks about genocide being waged against “persons of color.”

Yet white kids? The media yawn.

The parents need to raise h*** (I would if that were my daughter or son’s school).
The school (representing the STATE) has NO RIGHT to tell kids to do any such thing, it’s none of their business. I’d be asking why this message is in THIS school and it is all across the state or just in white-majority schools.

If it is ONLY in white-majority schools, then IS a message of genocide against the white population — and needs to be stopped in its tracks.

Great post as usual. The real difficulty is that there isn't a demographic measure for those citizens loosely termed Makers and Takers. The former are being out-bred and out-imported, no matter what race or ethnicity or national origin they are.

Within the issue of illegal immigration I'd be silent were the proportion of Makers sufficiently high to constitute a net gain for American society, instead of (1) a new welfare class filled with (2) Democrat party voters. Unfortunately it appears to be the latter. The cliche "jobs Americans won't do" was an attempt to couch this influx in terms of a gain in Makers. Like so many liberal political slogans, it is a lie.

And so what we actually face is a larger population diluted by a lower percentage of productive citizens, both by birth and importation, and a central government that has bloated in size and power through the promise of redistribution from the productive to the entitled. The question is not whether the country will be bled to death by it, but how quickly.

Obama’s Scientific Advisor was a 60’s “overpopulation” zealot, and said that the US could never, under any circumstances, support feeding 250 million people. We passed that figure a decade ago.

..."Breeding machines"...???

I don't think they've yet perfected extracorporeal gestation.

Good thing, too, since any re-casting human procreation as a "machine" project is an affront to human dignity.

Now we just have to decide who the right people are.

The world is well into the third great revolution, the digital age. Economies which are more than Third World agricultural communities or second-rate industrial revolution countries relying largely on extraction industries will no longer rely on population to provide them markets, rather they will manufacture with robots and control the process with software.

The economy which requires ever-expanding population to provide consumers is a 20th century economy and it implies an economy of hamburger flippers. Eventually, our economy must abandon this Luddite obsession with numbers and join the new digital age. Either the United States regains its scientific leadership and manufacturing edge by moving ahead with technology or we will succumb to the Democrats' dystopian world of cultural misery, widespread ignorance, and generalized poverty partially brought about by expanding the population with consumers unable to speak English, share our culture, or compete in the new age but adept at flipping hamburgers. Even without a flood of dependent immigrants, our educational establishment is failing to produce a workforce able to compete into the foreseeable future on a worldwide basis.

The economy, no more than Social Security, can long survive when it is grounded upon the foundation of a Ponzi scheme. We need talented people not a lot of people. The numbers are an asset only in a consumer economy otherwise, in the 21st century economy, they will be a liability. They won't produce but they will vote.

The challenge will be how to distribute wealth when it is created by machines without distributing liberty as well.
