It's worse than they don't care. The whole purpose of F&F was to pump up gun crime statistics in Mexico. For it to work that means gun crimes had to be committed. That was it's intended result. You don't get increased gun crime statistics unless the guns you supply are used for murder and mayhem. Obama, Clinton and Holder deliberately supplied guns to the cartels for the intended purpose that they be used to kill and injure so that US gun dealers could be blamed. To these malignant scum, Mexican lives were expendible to suit their political aim of destroying the second amendment.

In order for these killings to “haunt” them, they would have to CARE about the people who were killed, and they would need to feel shame and/or guilt for the misdeeds they have perpetrated.
