Having gone to all this effort and expense, I don't see the cabal's leadership letting their acquired power slip through their fingers.
For purpose of discussion, let's stipulate that Obama leaves office on schedule in 2016. On the other hand, if he's become a burden, he'll be made a martyr.
The chosen successor MUST be somebody who has proven themselves loyal and committed to a continuing program of "communism at home, radical Islam abroad".
Hillary, certainly, has made her contribution in both respects.
But...I wonder if she doesn't also represent a prohibitive risk. When you get Hillary, you get a competing power center...you get Bill. And you get another set of advisors and consultants -- who may not be "with the program".
Moreover, you get a team that might be more interested in crass corruption than in executing the desired policy. And a team that might think they're bigger and more important than you. While they might be inclined to cooperate (e.g., Huma), they might also decide to call their own shots.
By contrast, I don't think Obama has ever questioned his controllers or has any desire to act independently. He's along for the ride...and the revenge.
Obama's superiors are powerful enough to take Hillary out...if they wish. A few leaks about Benghazi could destroy her candidacy. Where they might go next, though, I haven't a clue...

But the left isn’t rational. And Hillary certainly isn’t rational.
Hillary doesn’t fight for the Left. Hillary fights for Hillary. And she fights dirty.
Of course, I’m being redundant. Everyone on the Left is like that. But Hillary is... special.
That’s why they had to give her SoS. I seriously doubt they wanted her around at all. But for some reason, the only thing they could accomplish was keeping her out of the White House. As far as the agenda is concerned, it didn’t change a bit. Obamacare is Hillarycare, and the rest of Obama’s tenure is exactly what would have been slated for Hillary.
Except, of course, that Hillary would have gone straight for the concentration camps in her first term.
On the one hand the Left is subject to power and goals analysis. On the other hand, it’s a bag full of screeching, fighting cats.
All I’m saying is that if Hillary isn’t directly stopped by the Left, she will exert her every effort to take over the Left and make it her tool. It’s her dream and her goal and she doesn’t think of anything else. Her only agenda is power through hate. Like a shark that has to keep swimming or die, Hillary has to keep hating, or she’ll die. And for her, hate IS politics.
Funny, I think the Left threw in with her because they thought she was so maniacal that she’d finally get it done for them. Now she’s this nightmare they can’t get rid of, like the alien in the movie Alien that is trying to climb back into the ship through the rocket exhaust pipe.
They better fire the rocket soon, or she’s going to get back in. And if she does, there will be hell to pay for those who dumped her for Obama - and they all know it.
