President Obama has embraced "Obamacare" as the de facto name of his signature health care initiative.
But the commander-in-chief believes that if the law ends up being a wild success, the moniker will disappear.
"My suspicion is what is going to happen is when it's working and everybody is really happy with it, Republicans are going to stop calling it 'Obamacare,'" the president said Tuesday in an interview with New York's WABC TV station.

No chance of it ever working.
delusional
Ya? And I’ll stop saying ‘when pigs fly’ when I actually see one doing it.
My suspicion is there are gonna be a couple of hundred million Americans wanting his head.
Wishful childish thinking fail by the “chief exec”.
In line with “When Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny get here..”
In other words, he admits that it’s a failure because everyone is calling it Obamacare.
“If”??? Freud would be so proud!
No. Once Hillary is coronated, it will become known as “Single-Payer System”, and ObamaCare will have been a minor roadbump and footnote on the way to full blown Progressive Neo-Marxism.
That’s a pretty big IF...
Obama is spooked that this failing plan of his has his name on it.
He might be right if success is defined as insolvency.
“Obama: Critics will stop calling it Obamacare if it works”
Well I guess the one permanent thing about this will be its current name then.
Hope they get it too.
Not gonna happen.
Reagan made the same prediction about “Reaganomics.”
It worked, and they stopped calling it “Reaganomics.”
This will never happen with Gangrapecare. It will always be called “Obamacare.” A hundred years from now, mothers will frighten disobedient children with tales of “Obamacare.”
Moron. My premiums are set to go up 400% next year. I’ll be thinking about Obama and only Obama every month when premiums are due.
It is, of course, all about him.
