WalMart views EBT as an infinite well of revenue for the stores. They are investing their “losses” in that vision. They don’t want to upset their most profitable patrons by refusing to “sell” them stuff just because their money is gaseous.

Besides that, it was the government's glitch, Walmart's not eating that loss.

Us taxpayers will pick up that check. As usual.

You seeemed to be serious when you penned that post. Or maybe I just couldn’t hear your snicker.

Left unanswered, however, was the question of how best to handle the resulting riot if WalMart cashiers would refuse to ring up more than the normal EBT limit.

Somehow, I think you purposely didn’t address that question.
