Are we running a surplus right now? From my understanding, tax revenue essentially pays for entitlements and interest. After that, we are on our own
We are not in surplus. People are being less than exact with words here, but I think most know what is going on.

Can you imagine in the Pre-Rush and Pre-Conservative talk show days how this would be playing in America? THE ONLY thing we would be hearing is how Evil Republicans are destroying the country.
