There is nothing wrong with evaluating the applicant’s income to determine what level of subsidy they’re eligible for and then displaying the net actual cost. To do anything else would be misleading.
No, the point is you have to jump through a dozen hoops just to get basic obamacare information. You absolutely should not have to register to learn what the premiums are. They are deliberately making the website opaque and that is outrageous.
Sounds as though it should have been designed more like some of the state websites.
In fact, I had my premium and subsidy information about three weeks before the state website actually opened for applications, just using the front-end calculator they had. Also had the deductibles, OoP, etc., through the insurance company websites.
I still don’t believe they are deliberately making the fed website opaque or inaccessible, though. That’s silly.
