President Barack Obama spoke with House Speaker John Boehner on Friday but did not wholly accept the House Republican plan to open government, raise the debt ceiling and open budget talks, sources said.

As a retired Realtor this is precisely how I negotiated for my buyers......first we found a house they liked, then I had them sign a blank contract, gave it to the sellers and they would fill in the terms that worked for them.

Obama is demanding tax increases from the Ryan Plan pushed by Boehner and Cantor. You are getting the Ryan Plan mixed up with the Collins Plan.

I have a simple solution. Just increase the Obamacare premiums.
The GOP would have been better off to have just passed all this stuff off the bat. Now they have negotiated themselves into tax hikes. Greaaaat!!!!
Based on the title of the article, it seems like Obama met with Republicans just to be able to claim that he met with Republicans but having no intension to compromise with Republicans. If such was the case then the Republicans fell into a PC trap imo.
I think Reggie Love is out of a job now since Boehner, Ryan and Cantor are serving in that role for free.
I hope all those that vilified me when I suggested this is how they would cave.... slowly, will post me back and say, “You were right after all. Boner did end up dropping the Obamacare issue, re-opening the government and extending the debt limit.”
We were told, “It’s not caving. Learn the facts. He is only offering to delay Obamacare and that puts it in an election year. The House won’t budget any further..... yea right.
