They are making progress. Time for Obama to move the goalposts again. /S

I suspect the GOP-elite is gonna cave piece by piece and hope that doing it gradually won’t look as blatant. They have already dropped Obamacare, by the end of this weekend they will have given into virtually all of the Senate and WH demands.

Did the Senate GOOBs get to kiss Barry’s ring and feet?

... under the proposal Congress and the White House would explore ways to ease across-the-board federal budget cuts that began taking effect a year ago, and replace at least part of them with benefit-program curbs that have been included in recent presidential budgets. Translation of GOPe proposal: "We'll give you action now, in exchange for your promise of action later."
How many times to they think we'll let them get away with this?

With the weekend approaching, and the deadline for raising the debt limit five days away, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell said it was time to "put this hysterical talk of default behind us and instead start talking about finding solutions to the problems." I trust Matt Bevin is now rapidly rubbing his hands together.
Hey Mitch (not the Atlas character :), I don't recall any "hysterical" talk. Just plain dollars and sense.

So, as of right now they are in the process of caving-in and will probably bury this in the weekend news so that by Monday Obama can declare victory.

Never in history have their been worse negotiators. Never. They constantly negotiate against themselves and the other side never gives an inch. If they were in business, they would have crushed and shut the doors two years ago.

I am getting wild blog reports, one even linking to Drudge, that the GOP Goatse’s have already caved in, and there just hasn’t been an announcement yet.
Anyone getting word like this?

Oh, yes, SURE, Mitch McConnell is the right man to help the Republicans. McConnell worked with Harry Reid and Obama to raise the debt limit, increase taxes and fund Obamacare.
Don’t we have a true Republican to send to confer with the Regressives?

I've gotten to the point where I don't care what the GOP does, except for Ted Cruz and company.
The rest of them should either get on board or shut up and go away.

if the “deal” is what they say it is.. they need to get a new poker face. They promise to dear leader, everything he desires for the possibility that he will think about maybe considering some ambiguously worded reduction in future spending (which has no control over) in return. and they then promise not to address the anvil that dear leader has dropped on the heads of the American taxpayers.
If I were him, I’d walk away too and tell Boehner to bring his shine box.
