I wonder how many truckers listen to Rush?

I’d bet it’s a lot.

IMO, listening to Rush is actually a pain in the butt when driving. He's not on satellite radio. I covered everything east of I35 when I was driving. That's a lot of country and a lot of radio stations to keep track of in order to listen to Rush. If I was parked loading/unloading, then I would make the effort to find Rush on the AM dial, but not while driving.

On second thought, you deserve a more serious answer.

Over the road truck driving is an awful job. I typically went out for 2-4 weeks at a time, and I was often only home long enough for my 34 hr restart before going back out.

Anyone with the ability to get a better job, probably will. The people who do this long term are usually not academically gifted. They are mostly the top 40/classic rock types rather than talk radio listeners.
