Washington itself is named after George Washington. I believe they should change that name. Imagine the insult that this represents for one of the most corrupt cities in the world to be named after one of the greatest and most honorable Americans in history.

Don’t laugh too much about changing the name of Washington.
A number of years ago, New Orleans changed the name of George Washington School. Since he owned slaves, and New Orleans has a mostly black student population, it was decided that it hurt the self esteem of black students to attend George Washington School. It was renamed after an historic African king, which presumeably helped the student self esteem, as they are black and the African king was black.
No word though on whether student achievement improved at the renamed school.
