Positive signs for first rejiggered Fox News primetime lineup in more than a decade
Fox News Channel’s “The Kelly File” handily beat rivals in total viewers, an auspicious start for the network’s first new primetime program in more than a decade, as well as its host, Megyn Kelly.
According to early Nielsen totals, Fox News Channel’s “The Kelly File” lured nearly 2.1 million viewers between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m,. Monday evening, compared with 997,466 for MSNBC’s “Rachel Maddow Show” and 529,946 for CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight.” The figures could change slightly.
MSNBC’s “Maddow” secured more viewers among audiences between 25 and 54 years of age, the demographic most coveted by advertisers in news programming. “Maddow” attracted 298,543 in the demo, according to Nielsen, compared with 289,264 for “Kelly” and 144,602 for “Piers Morgan.” Ad buyers have said they have come to expect the largest viewership for cable news from Fox News Channel.

The guy Megyn just had on..WOW he was AMAZING..and he is right..what the hell has happened to our country when we allow a crapload of illegals to go to the National Monument but the Vets are turned away..this country, I cant even recognize it anymore..our Vets are treated like crap but illegals who crossed our border ILLEGALLY, are criminals, and collect every damn Govt service they can get their hands on are treated like diamonds
He also congratulated her on the show. Then immediately said, “I watched your show last night an you said Ted Cruz was the most hated man in America. Ted Cruz needs to stand his ground”. She also had a pretty damning piece on nancy Pelosi and her debacle today at the National Mall.
He then made the point that--trying to paraphrase--if Obama Care meets the illegal alien influx it will be a disaster for this country-and the American people are having NONE OF IT!
He then said that truckers, bikers, and a whole lot of AMERICANS are tired of this kind of thing, and are ready to come to DC and SHUT IT DOWN!
So--so far-- Megyn's show tonight is well worth watching.
Cool—glad other Freepers watched MK tonight. Her reports have been great so far—shows how PETTY and MEAN our Dear Leader is!

It was a disappointing debut in that right out of the box she was citing a Politico poll that showed that their own newsroom believes by a factor of 2-1 that the Republicans are aliens. Um, I’m sorry. The poll was about the shutdown.
The point is, who believes a poll from Politico? And does FNC really need to be citing what is basically MSLSD propaganda?
I’ve pretty much stopped watching all of it. She is appealing to the extent that she resembles Grace Kelly (but there is no relation there, I think) but she has been on the election coverage for years and tends to giggle like a schoolgirl and thus seems WAY short in the gravitas department.
The guy they interviewed at the WWII memorial was a hoot. He was on fire, said from a 1 to a 10 on being furious a ten doesn’t even do it.

It won’t be on in our house again either. I think she was deplorable and I had to write and tell her what I thought. Please do so also. Her treatment of Ted Cruz was despicable and that was AFTER he congratulated her on her new show and (I think) on the new baby.
Most of what I read about the show today excused her rudeness.
I don’t like Greta at 7 and I don’t like Hannity at 10 and I sure don’t like Megyn at 9. I think FOX messed up big time with the change.
Everything that’s happening in DC has me in such a rotten mood, I even had to tell her that I thought her hair looked terrible and it did - IMO of course!
Don’t own a television set... but now I really want to hear what this fellow you all are talking about said... he sounds like many of us...
I remember every bridge she burned this last election cycle..... that is why I don’t like her. She has let us see her lib skirt way too many times.

If Kelly couldn’t pull more viewers than the other two, particular since it was her debut, she ought to hang it up. I, for one, quit watching FOX except for when Neal Cavuto or Sarah is on.
