Jerry...I know you are distressed, but blaming the TEA party and Republicans doesn’t make sense.
This is just another burden placed on our military in the continuing effort to demoralize our warriors and their families. Even if DOD granted the money tomorrow, the pain and doubt will remain throughout all the armed services. By now the troops should have gotten Obama's real message, even in death Obama despises our military and their families.
Hard to imagine anything more likely to lead to a rebellion than this huge slap in the face.

No one should volunteer to put their life at stake for the United States of Chicago. While DemoKKKrats are in charge the military and their families are simply cannon fodder. It is beyond shameful that the Gangster Reid has not taken up the House bill to fund the military including these benefits.

This was revealing information for me as to the cost of maintaining a combat army these days. In WWII my brother and I both ‘bought’ death insurance for a small but significant amount of our monthly pay which was $75 for me. My brother was killed on Okinawa and his insurance went to our widowed mother. She was receiving about $42 per month when the $10,000 policy(the most you could take out as I recall) ran out. I don’t recall any interest being paid on the insurance debt. That was it when $10,000 was received. My mother ended up in a nursing home dying of cancer and had to go on state welfare and all the state welfare money went to the nursing home and it wasn’t more than $45. Time brings many societal value changes. I want our Government to pony up the costs incurred for those who did service for the USA,and not give the money and resources to all the people of the world who care less about our peoples suffering.
It would need to be a 501c3 and the IRS is shut down.

No they are not. Inarticulateness is what always does them in, and most of them are playing the same old game. It would be very simple for them to go before the cameras, ie a press conference, and announce that they’re donating money to to the families of these soldiers since their due benefits have been denied them thanks to Hussein’s refusal to sign any funding bill.
