Glenn Beck on Tuesday revealed the name of a Republican senator who allegedly called supporters of FreedomWorks and the Senate Conservatives Fund traitors to the party: Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
Beck said he was given the information by someone who is not on his “usual list of friends” and a guy who, if he gave you the name, you would not think “he’s on our side.”
The alleged comments came in a private, off-the-record meeting of Republican Senators that reportedly went far beyond politics as usual.
“This guy is just disgusted by what happened, and is one of those guys who was sitting in this meeting, not saying anything, but watching everybody and — show me your friends and I’ll show you your future — and [thinking], ‘I think my friends are not friends of the Republic,’” Beck remarked. “‘Not friends of freedom of speech.’”
“Here is what happened,” Beck continued. “As they are all standing in there, they are told in not so many words, that they are on the wrong side. That these people have been here for a very long time, and you new senators come in and you think you know it all. And if anyone is working with the Senate Conservatives Fund or FreedomWorks, you’re a traitor.”

No surprise. McConnell is a complete fool and has no idea how to be a true leader. I wish I could vote his sorry butt out...but then, I wish I could vote out a whole lot of these jackasses.
And Glenn Beck doesn’t wonder why someone “who is not a friend” calls him with this story? Mitch McConnell will be primaried for many good reasons, but Beck needs to be skeptical of information such as this that is thrown over the transom.

Just e-mailed him the quote and told him I am a Proud Tea Party member and he should consider me a one of his “traitors”.
Midge is feeling the heat. I hope these same groups (FreedomWorks and Senate Conservatives) are the very groups that help to get these RINO’s out of office.

Called McConnell’s Office but was only able to listen to message about high volume of calls and go to website to contact. My intent was to tell them I would ask Senator Cruz to consider getting McConnell thrown out as Minority Leader.
But you know he will deny it, then shift the attention to who snitched.
Yep, then he will proclaim that he is “severely” Conservative.

Sound to me like, in the context of that meeting, he meant a traitor to the Republican party, or the Senate caucus, not to the Republic. Still, McConnell needs to go if he has that much ill will towards conservatism. Imagine if he gets another 6 years, how he will behave.

Yes and the House Leadership as well. Boehner and Cantor were just on TV and, in my understanding, they have caved on defunding Obamacare. First they voted to defund Obamacare in the original CR and now they have negotiated themselves down to ONLY doing away with penalties for people signing up with Obamacare late. I called my congressman, Ralph Hall, to tell him to please continue to stand firm on defunding Obamacare in the spending CR. Told him that all this hand wringing on the effects of the PARTIAL government shut down is for show and I support standing firm until hell freezes over. Also, asked him to bring impeachment proceedings against Obama to the floor of the House this week.

Everybody knows what Cruz stands for and has done, most notably, he has stood to fight for OUR SIDE. In comparison, Mitchy ol'boy lumbers around with that "turtle look" on his face trying to sound reasonable and of moderate tone. Now I know what God means when He says in Revelation, "I would that you be either hot or cold but because you are luke warm, I spew you out..." Mitchy ol'boy, you are nothing if not luke warm, blegch... Cruz is hot Cruzin'!!
