While I pray it doesn't happen and there is no blood shed; sooner or later the government is going to mess with the wrong people and we may have a Boston Massacre moment. At the very least some good lawyers can make the federal government sweat over a few of these incidents.

At first I thought Obama was just trying to score some cheap political points and show people how much the “needed” the federal government. This is starting to look more and more like he is operating a protection racket. Especially the way he is trying to close down the Ocean and the way he treated the people who owned homes on federal land. He's not trying to make the government look good at all. He's “roughing up” a few so we will give into the racket. I'm just waiting for the “Nice Interstate Highway you have there, it'd be a shame if we had to shut it down,” speech. Not Gestapo tactics, old style mob tactics.

How do we really know that isn’t what happened in DC with Miriam Carey? After all, there were extra barricades installed because of the shutdown.
