My 21 year old daughter took a trip to DC last month. It was her first time visiting the capitol. She kept telling me she was afraid to go down certain streets. I thought her fear was caused by criminals but she was really afraid of the armed guards and barricades. She was surprised by all the roadblocks and armed security.
