Obama and his minions, and of course the MSM who would put Pravda to shame with it’s censorship and propaganda techniques.
I’d argue that it is in the interest not only of freedom and Constitutionality, but also national security that we use this opportunity to identify what parts of our economy are needlessly tied to the federal government—and go about severing that connection.
Why should virtually all mortgages get funneled through national guarantee programs that create moral hazards left and right?
Why should agriculture be dependent on federal market information and market prices?
Whatever does boating in the open water need to be contingent upon federal operations for?
What grants do we have distorting what markets that should simply be eliminated?
Let all this silly noise from areas crying for federal continuance through the shutdown become the sensor for where there’s federal excess to be cut.
If Paul Ryan were an actual tea partier rather than a GOPe fake, he’d already have identified all this stuff without our needing the crisis to make it obvious.
But I could see this becoming a project of various tea parties. Or maybe DeMint’s Heritage Foundation.
Someone has got to focus on how needless and expensive and dangerous for our economy all of this regulation and financial support and whatnot is and begin to pull it out—root and branch.

Sure, we expect congressional Democrats to accuse Republicans of starving children, old people, kittens, puppies, fish, and birds; of wanting to kill your grandmother; of gleefully polluting the atmosphere; of hating black people, gays, Latinos, women; of hoping no child gets an education or a school lunch.”
This can only happen with uninformed and apathetic voters. Americans ALMOST have the government they deserve... they slowly, over decades, walked themselves up to the abyss and then jumped in!
Most of the left’s tactics come from Moscow or Hitler’s regime. Most importantly “...if you tell a lie long enough, with loudly enough and with enough conviction it becomes truth.”
At the end of the day Obama is the president it is his job to get the government running and make sure there are adequate funds to pay the debt.
