At Acadia National Park here in Maine, on October 1st the park rangers woke up people who were camping at 4 AM and told them they had three hours to pack up their stuff and leave.
I heard a caller on talk radio yesterday say he spent the entire day yesterday riding a bicycle on trails in Acadia National Park. While there, he said he saw “hundreds” of other people in the national park.
As an in-your-face act of civil disobedience (and how it is disobedience to visit what is ours?), we need thousands to protest by climbing the WWII Memorial barrycades and sit in.
Exactly. You can’t really close nature. You can only control CAR access.
They always try and get money here for state parks saying they would ‘close’ without funds.
I’m on a bicycle. You can’t keep bicycles out of anywhere
On some rides as a matter of course I will have to hop ten or more old barbed wire fences that are there for cattle
Funny how many sheeple just obey rules cause the man tells them to
Acadia National Park up near Bar Harbor is gorgeous.
Can’t picture it shut down.
We’re retiring to southern Maine in a few months, moving there from San Diego. Looking forward to the WARMTH of Maine and family, as opposed to the chilly —>freezing<— atmosphere of CA.
