With Obama, I don’t even think conspiracy is necessary. He has raised the levels of anger and fear in this country to unprecedented levels, probably unknown since the Civil War. And everything he does, such as the monument closings, seems intentionally designed to foment this state of affairs.
I wouldn’t be surprised, however, if he uses the unrest he has fomented to do something like shut down the legislature (or at least Congress) and give himself, by his own act, an enabling resolution. Never let a good crisis go to waste, and he’s certainly been working hard to create a crisis.
