There is also the protest at one of the Manila universities, I think it was University of the Philippines, which had a few thousand demonstrators. The the students were protesting his upcoming visit.

I thought it strange as UP, the short title, is known for being a bit left. I caught this from the airport lounge but have seen nothing else about this. I'll bet it figured in to Jug Ears decision not to go.

Understand they were going to take bullet proof glass panels to use in hotel windows. Paranoia is a miserable state of mind... Protest threats. Guess that explains it.
