totally my Manhattan experience, been riding BMws 35+ years, all of North America, Europe, North Africa, Turkey - always solo. Autobahn speed demons weaving madly through traffic on weekends on West Side Highway, gleefully popping wheelies on Harlem streets, no licence plates, no helmets. If I can see them, why can’t the police ? Stolen bikes, bogus plates. How were the bikes acquired ? This scene needs to be seriously reigned in while it inches from “Broken Windows” petty to serious crime and lawlessness.
