Albanias new Socialist premier says former British Prime Minister Tony Blair will assist as an adviser in his countrys efforts to join the 28-nation European Union.
Edi Rama said today that Blair would be personally, totally and voluntarily advising the Albanian government and helping with his extraordinary experience and political geniality.

Would Germany ever agree to allow such a country into the EU knowing full well that they would have to bankroll it and allow any Albanian that wanted to to enter their country without a Visa?

Albania is almost 60% muslim. So Albania's entrance to the E.U. can only improve Europe's overall security situation...not.
As a side note, I wonder how many millions Blair will be paid under the table for his part in all this. One can only hope that as part of the agreement Blair must permanently move to Albania.

According to the CIA Albania is 70% Muslim 20% Albanian Orthodox and 10% Roman Catholic.
I think the EU would want Albania so they can say they are not rejecting Turkey because it is a Muslim country and the EU is not an exclusive post-Christian Atheist-Pagan Club.
