There’s not just zero tolerance for guns in schools. There is zero tolerance for the IDEA of guns in schools.

Not all of the time. In good old Central Minnesota - just as recently as 2008, my senior year of high school - I was actually allowed by the school principal to bring a rifle into my speech class in order to give an instructional speech on how to properly clean and maintain it. I had to leave the actual bolt in his office until the end of the day, but that was the only restriction he gave me. There ARE conservative teachers out there...they're the ones that give you the history and the facts the way it really happened.

Definitely in this case. It is not everywhere though. My daughter has worn her NRA shirt to middle school without incident and I live in a liberal sinkhole.
We shouldn’t let these stories demoralize us, but rather stir us up to fight for our rights and our children’s rights.

Government schools are in the brain-washing business.
Parents: Protect your children. Get them out of government schools and place them in private schools or homeschool them.

First Amendment? We don’t need no steenkin’ first amendment! Frickin’ sad situation that kids today are being subjected to these didiots. And too many panty wasted parents aren’t much better. Pretty soon the word “gun” will be as offensive to them as the “N” word (if it’s not already). How sad for this once great nation. Probably okay to wear j-z shirt or “black power fist”, or che queervera shirts though. Maybe even some la raza shirts would be okay too. Planned parenthood shirts? Commie code pinko shirts?

Our five year old came home with a squirt gun that he picked from the prize box a few weeks ago. I was SHOCKED. Really. He was so excited and proud.

Nah. If the kid wore a shirt looked like this:
With a shool district-approved pro-communist message, the image of the rifle would be allowed.
What is being attacked is the NRA political speech.

There is also zero tolerance for learning. What is disguised as such is actually the “absorption” of islamo-communist thought processes.

I’m glad he’s taking legal action. They should be made to put up or shut up. If they claim an NRA t-shirt “promotes violence” then they should be able to produce some verifiable quote from an NRA officer inciting violence. If they can’t, then not only should the prohibition not stand, but they should have to pay some kind of penalty for thinking they can make agenda-driven policy with no basis in actual facts.
