Glad to hear it! The NWS says shear winds in the Gulf will weaken the storm. Hopefully.
We’re hoping it doesn’t develop too much - projected to reach Cat 1 then fall back to tropical storm before landfall - fingers crossed, but should be too bad even if it remains a low to mid Cat 1. Down here we call that a freak thunderstorm.
