None of this should come as any surprise. This is how the media played it the last time and we knew this is how they would play it this time.
Difference is that the internet as we know it did not exist in 1995, so while people back then saw some dude at Yellowstone crying about not being able to give people tours and freaking out that the government was going to collapse, today few people get their news from these clowns, and can easily see that the world is not falling in.
