Krokodil, Molly and More: 5 Wretched New Street Drugs

When it comes to altered states of consciousness, humans are nothing if not inventive. A number of new synthetic drugs, opiate painkillers and other substances have emerged recently as increasingly popular among partygoers and drug addicts. And some of these substances are alarming health experts and law enforcement officials.

Here's a look at five of the most potent of these street drugs.

SNIP

2C-P

A little-known synthetic hallucinogen with only a brief history of use, 2C-P is reportedly a long-lasting and very potent drug. Its intense psychedelic effects don't begin until a few hours after a person takes it, but they can last for 10 to 20 hours, according to law enforcement officials.

At a concert in Middlebury, Conn., in September, four teenagers were hospitalized after collapsing almost simultaneously — police suspect 2C-P was the culprit, according to the Hartford Courant. "It was like a light switch went off," acting Middlebury Police Chief Richard Wildman said in a press statement. Officers used CPR and a defibrillator to treat a teenage male who had stopped breathing and had no pulse, the Courant reports.

Butane hash oil

Also known as amber, honey, wax, ear wax and by its initials BHO, butane hash oil is a highly concentrated form of the active ingredient in marijuana (tetrahydrocannabinol or THC).

SNIP

Suboxone

Buprenorphine, marketed as Suboxone, is an opiate painkiller that's often used to wean addicts off of more powerful opiates like heroin and hydrocodone. Substance abuse experts praise its success at treating addictions, and about 3 million Americans have used it for this purpose, according to the National Pain Report.

But a report from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) found that the number of emergency room visits involving Suboxone had increased by a factor of 10 from 2005 to2010.

I am suspicious of calling that drug Krokodil, because that was the name of a popular Russian humor magazine. They even published in the Soviet Union and were known for their wacky and crude humor. When the Soviet Union fell, they lost all restraint and became very bizarre. Very radical humor, 70 years of it bottled up inside.

That’s what it will take. Some people want to make themselves stupider and will constantly seek out new things with which to accomplish it.

My Drug Control Plan for Illegal Narcotics

If the government really wanted to stop all drug abuse of illegal narcotics and what not there is simple solution to it....

Step 1.

Run a PSA saying Drugs ARE LITERALLY POISON AND YOU WILL DIE IF YOU TAKE THEM.

Step 2. Covertly intercept drug shipments and place any one of several poisons in every shipment you intercept.

Step 3. Run another PSA that explains that Drugs are poisons because the shipments are covertly intercepted and poisoned with several rotating poison types in them BY THE GOVERNMENT.

Drug use will either immediately drop to near zero levels in that it is not a problem no more. or the problem will solve itself within 10 years...

No need for for no-knock raids or any of that crap that steals liberty... Just an actual war on drugs by poisoning the drugs themselves and cleaning the gene pool for those dumb enough to wade to the deep dangerous area of the pool.

Problem Solved!

Butane hash oil is hardly new. The stuff was around back in the early 70s.

The government should poison people?

It is better to poison peopel who are willingly already poisoning themselves with drugs than it is break into someone’a house inthe middle of the ngiht and shoot them because the homeowner thought they were being home invaded and shot back and the SWAT team got the wrong address...

But only SLIGHTLY better....

It is an improvement in only the difference of falling out of a plane vs. falling out of a plane and having a suicide pill so you duie before you hit the ground...

At our expense, be it from welfare, medicare, or $15k/year jail costs.

My concern is for the kids who have access to it from idiot adults looking to make a profit so they can supply themselves. I fired an employee last year when I caught his worthless ass smoking a synthetic marijuana called “spice” in my back room. When I talked to a psychiatrist friend and told her offhanded about it she just shook her head and sighed.

From what she told me I guess that sh*t is harder to kick than meth is, and you can buy it at a lot of local gas stations still.

5 new drugs people aren’t actually doing but they sure make for lurid headlines.

Have we not learned yet that these stories are always BS? They take some story about a handful of dorks finding a new way to kill brain cells and insist it’s the new craze sweeping the nation. And eventually everybody forgets about it because it’s not actually sweeping the nation and the concept is so dumb even most dope fiends think it’s retarded.

Pain is the greatest motivator of all, and a painful death tops the list.

Instead of using poison might I suggest corporal punishment as a little more humane idea first? Get caught twice and after a fair trial and conviction give them 10 true lashes out back of the courthouse. While they are laying there writhing in pain you look them in the eye and explain that upon the next conviction it will be 20 lashes.

Recidivism will be down really quick for 90+ percent of users I bet, and a whole lot of first timers will be too scared of the consequences to try it.

They might drag that one out. But me, I'm wondering if ya'll are working through some issues of your own wanting to administer spankings and all. Do you get to wear a leather gimp mask in your torture porn?
