The Senate acts as Obama’s shield (nothing gets to him thus he is blameless and he says he will veto such and such and thus the senate doesn’t bother bringing it up) and the Media acts as the Senate’s shield.
No matter what the republicans in the House do, they will be blamed, so they might as well go for broke! But there are members like Peter King, that stand with the democrats on all things.
