Running against the pro-gay marriage, pro-gay military, pro-Romnecare Obama, the GOP decided to run the creator of Romneycare, the governor who gave America gay marriage, and the republican who had been campaigning on homosexualizing the military for 20 years.

In retrospect it doesn’t appear to be as brilliant as it sounds.

We got Romney b/c we, as a group, were too stupid to coalesce around any conservative while we had a chance. I remember FR, any conservative (70-80%) in the lead was attacked unmercifully. Keep that nonsense up boys and girls and we will have the Clinton witch in the White House and the hammer and sickle will replace Old Glory. So this time, let’s pick a candidate we can get behind early and put them over the top. You know...so we don’t get a Christie or Bush? Ann, how’s that Christie working out for ya?

And how did we get that choice ? By undermining support for the conservative candidates in the primary with NSA data and IRS targeting. Once it was Romney verses Obama, the fix was in.

Riiight, because early primary states like Utah were so focused on NSA and IRS data... OH, gosh, what was I thinking, it was more liberal states that started out the race, with open primaries and other big tent nonsense, along with an anointed one who had 'stepped aside' so that McCain could run the party into the ground.

Let there be no mistake; the gauntlet of primaries now is not arranged to allow for the most conservative or even the most electable conservative to take the race, but it is built for those who have the biggest ground team and biggest budget to win early victories and have the 'momentum' to wipe out any other challengers come the swing through conservative (and closed primary) areas.

We have to rework the entire primary process if we really want to see actual conservatives make the trip through the gauntlet. And we have to stop blaming the MSM, Democrats and others for our own failings.

Because at the end of the day, most of us have abdicated any responsibility for the running of the GOP, and then we do nothing when those who we left it in their care utterly destroy the chances of any conservative viewpoint surviving to the general election. That really has to change if there is to be any hope of rescuing the Republican party.

There were attacked by RINO's who got the data from their NSA/Obama connection. Then the conservative opposition followed the RINO pack. That is how the op went within the Elephant Party. The reason they attacked the Tea Party with the IRS is because they wanted to maintain control of the US Senate. Tea Party Senators that lost were also attacked by NSA data. Come on. This is one of the most vile and corrupt governments to achieve lone super power status. They are gonna out do Rome and Emperor Nero.

I don’t disagree that the administration is vile and corrupt as are the pubbie elites. The fact remains Romney won the nomination, McCain won the nomination. And they won the nomination b/c we were fragmented. And the folks on FR were as fragmented as anyone else. Indeed more so. I wonder how many of the posters were Romney plants. If we conservatives AND libitarians are as fragmented this cycle, Christe or Bush will be our nominee. And we can count on that.
