Theres a whole lot of complexity here and behind the scenes maneuvering. If all of the House Republicans voted for it I believe it is a good move.
Do you think that perhaps they are trying some sort of incremental strategy? I wonder because the article said the bill would fund the government through November 15. So we will be back here again in a month and a half. Will they try to delay or defund another portion then, and so on?
90-day funding bills. Before long we will be down to funding the government week to week.

In Judo if you’re pinned by a guy who weighs more you inch your forearms under you and move bit by bit until you can escape. I think that’s exactly what’s going on. If so, kudos to the R’s.

The Dems are on a tight leash. Their constituency counts on that teat being there. Here in Illinois government checks are going out later and later. Who is more likely to feel the pain of a government slowdown - the productive class or the parasite class?
As a follow up question, which party relies most on which class?
This is great news for our side. Hold the line, stick it to the Dems.
