You are absolutely right. Those nonessential LIV who work for the government and vote for Dems will be hurt the most. Make them stay home without pay for a few weeks. Gees the Fed Gov might work better for once!

I think the longer a shut down goes on the more the leverage swings to the Pubs. My only concern is for military personnel who may not get paid.
The Fed “workers” historically get paid retroactively for any “closed” days...a paid vacation. It will happen again.
