The world's getting hotter, the sea's rising and there's increasing evidence neither are naturally occurring phenomena.

So says a report from the U.N. International Panel on Climate Change, a document released every six years that is considered the benchmark on the topic. More than 800 authors and 50 editors from dozens of countries took part in its creation.

It’s bad enough that the American people have to fight with the U.S. government all of the time but we should not have to deal with this corrupt, old Cold War relic. The U.N. needs to get out of our country and get out of our lives.

Then, what you are saying...is that the Republicans are actually trying to save the planet....by shutting down the US government and American civilization?

Now...it makes perfect sense. McCain, Tea Party crazies, President Obama, Putin, that Snowden dimwit, that Piers nut from CNN....all in a master plan to save the planet. Who would have known?

Well...I’ll dig my outhouse hole tomorrow, plant some tobacco and corn, and cancel my cable TV subscription.

American Thinker, today.

The Climate-Industrial Complex.
(last paragraph)

When scientific organizations endorse global warming catastrophe theory, remember that these organizations are really just fancied-up labor unions and their reports and statements are generally self-serving declarations disguised as objective analysis. It is obviously foolish to ask scientific organizations to give objective advice concerning programs in which they are deeply self-interested. The National Academy of Sciences says it mission is to give “... independent, objective advice to the nation on matters related to science and technology.” The problem is obvious. The government should seek out persons and organizations without a self-interest stake when asking for advice concerning science policy and science spending.

*******
Wonder what this “report” costs to produce? Incredible waste of money. The U.N. is a scam operation.

NBC radio news this morning sneaks in a report about the first sea shipment of coal completed from Vancouver to Finland via the Northwest passage, due to global warming.

The implication, of course, is that this is a bad thing, per the reference to global warming.

. Ask them to explain Scientific Method and to present experiments and studies managed by Scientific Method. They may be able to do the former but will be at a loss to accomplish the latter.

Given the billions of $$ being spent to "prove" that global warming is caused by humankind, it would be easy to find 800 people with a vested interest in the same. Eliminate those biased pretend scientists, and the handful, if any, remaining would be vastly outnumbered by actual objective scientists who say that climate change is caused by the Sun.

Someday people will figure out (connect the dots) that "cherry picking" or selectively choosing data or anecdotal evidence that supports your preconceived notions, is not sound science.

It took that many people to cobble together a report in support of a foregone conclusion?

One has to assume that the “Northwest Passage” must have been named as such for a reason (i.e., it serves as a passage for shipments of goods). lol

The corrupt media looks for “hooks” to insert their liberal views into any story. Anything that does not fit their agenda is either not reported or, if it is, marginalized to insignificance or opprobrium.

And what government always wants is more revenue. Climate change is nothing but an excuse to create a global tax to empower world government.

THIS IS INTENDED TO GIVE THE UNITED NATIONS THE POWER TO TAX INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS IN THE PRETEXT OF SAVING THE WORLD.

And “consultants” work under contracts, typically of the cost plus variety wherein all your costs and a fee are paid by the government. Consultants tend to write what they are told to write. Wise consultants quickly grasp the “direction” the customer wants to go in. To write otherwise is to jeopardize the current and all future contracts. Not good if you want to stay in business, or continue “adding value” as consultants are so apt to say.

I used to work as a consultant and on several occasions had the unpleasant experience of telling customer things they didn’t want to hear. You have to tread lightly when you do that. lol

That is a fundamental truism. And it needs to be stated more often.

The fact is, there is NEVER enough money for government. I am often amazed at the ingenuity of people in government and their ability to dream up and justify new ways to spend money. They are actually quite creative and aggressive when it comes to doing this. They are also very good at empire building. But providing services? No so much. Services are a distraction from their real mission.

Self preservation is their game. And they get good at it.

Yes, but the climate change fraud is even more dangerous: it threatens our sovereignty as a free nation.
