When I first hear the term "single payer" I thought it meant when we pay the doctor ourselves. But no, it means the government extracts the money from us and then pays the doctor itself cutting out the health insurance company "middleman."

Which means instead of the doctor or even the insurance company making our medical decisions, it is the faceless bureaucrat with an agenda to transform our country into a Marxist paradise who is making the decision.

So, we will be denied or forced to have procedures not in our best interest. And we will be paying for abortions and euthanasia procedures for other people, so that we all will be paying for the new Marxist paradise our leaders have planned for us.

Another way of putting it is that the government has eliminated a competitive open market and replaced it with a mandatory monopoly. Since the government is now the purchaser, it alone decides what is purchased and what is not. MRIs? Too expensive - won’t be needing any of those. Hip replacements? Not necessary. Oxycontin will take away the pain and it is much cheaper.
