Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) said Thursday the expectation Republicans in Congress have raised about defunding Obamacare is not intellectually honest.
-snip-
Coburn actualy gave Obama credit for reducing some government waste.
Ive got to give the president credit. His budget this year at least addressed a few of those issues that [the Governmental Accountability Office] has raised. Congress hasnt addressed any of them, he said.

As opposed to this moron, who is just plain dishonest. Coburn says he is against Obamacare but I have seen him do nothing to actually oppose it so far.
Sorry Tom, you just aren’t a wartime consiglieri. Time to step aside for the new young turks.
So does Dear Leader have pics of Coburn with a live boy or dead girl?
What is it with these A$$ hats? Somebody please explain.
Apparently the separation of powers is “not intellectually honest.”
i emailed Coburn with the news flash that what he is doing is the dishonest action, failing to honestly represent that his constituents want the travesty defunded
It may not matter after Coburn’s next primary.
Voting FOR CLOTURE AND AGAINST OBAMACARE IS INTELLECTUALLY DISHONEST.
I’m opposed to 0bamacare except when it really matters. - Mitch Puss
The spineless Reps hate Cruz because he reveals their dishonesty and lack of principle. The games these politicians play with their phony votes and scripted theatrics make a mockery of representative government. Both parties are corrupt.
I’m beginning to think Coburn is bipolar.
And the polar phase he is in right now is not credit worthy.
BS. Spend the time, Coburm, helping America and it’s people; not shooting it down and helping yourself and your buddies and backers.
Coburn has become badly compromised in recent years, which is sad, because he was at one time a reliable conservative. Someone must’ve turned up some incriminating pics.
I’m convinced it is the Washington D.C disease... It afflicts 100% of people that spend more than a few months there. And, apparently, it is not curable.
Intellectually dishonest is this:

“...This isn’t a show vote. This is a unique and rare opportunity to defund Obamacare with a simple majority - 51 votes. That means Harry Reid can lose, at most, four members of his caucus and still succeed in funding Obamacare. If he loses five, Obamacare is defunded. I want to have that vote.
In my view, filibustering and blocking a bill that defunds Obamacare is not the best strategy to defund Obamacare. The only thing it guarantees is a government shutdown, during which Obamacare would still be funded.”
A. Harry won’t lose five votes and he and everyone know that.
B. Any vulnerable Dem can vote for it and say he only did so to avoid a shutdown: The same thing Cornyn and Coburn etc are saying!
So their plan will fund Obamacare AND protect the vulnerable Dems.
It’s a show vote indeed.
Coburn was an MD before getting elected to Senate. What does he know about ObamaCare?
ObamaCare was drafted by the best and brightest twenty-something graduates of Harvard Law and the Ivy League political science departments. Coburn went to OSU and University of Oklahama. Who does he think he is to criticize the magnificent program that these young men and women crafted?
One of the few oversights by our brilliant Founding Fathers was not writing term-limits into the Constitution (the other was not allowing citizens to sue the Federal government).
As it is, these a$$clowns get elected, take up residence in the District of Criminals, begin to enjoy life as part of the club, start thinking they’re made from finer clay than the people they work for, exempt themselves from the laws they pass, and the country finds itself in the fix it’s in now.
He’s a self-serving, greedy, power-hungry RINO, in my opinion. Like 95% of the human debris in DC, he represents himself and no one else.
What would a career US Senator know about honesty?
