Rep. Peter King (R-NY) is no fan of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), as the outspoken congressman made clear in an interview published Wednesday in The New York Times.
My sound bite is to say hes a fraud, King told the Times. I start with that, and then I go on. It takes me two or three minutes to explain it.
Minutes later, according to the Times, King had a damning characterization of Cruz's effort to block funding for the health care law, which has raised the risk of a government shutdown. Cruz continued his quixotic campaign to defund Obamacare with a marathon floor speech that began Tuesday afternoon and spilled into Wednesday.
It is just a form of governmental terrorism," King said.
King was one of many House Republicans to lash out at Cruz over the defunding effort last week, telling the senator to "keep quiet." In May, King boycotted a GOP fundraiser that was headlined by Cruz because of the Texas senator's vote against a Hurricane Sandy relief bill earlier this year.

He would have hated Madison as well...
I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents.
FUPK and the NY horse you rode in on.
Our government has gone from irresponsible to reckless to ridiculous and now farcical. I swear the people in Washington are on LSD.
I disapprove of ridiculous comparisons to 09/11/01.
It’s disrespectful of anyone impacted negatively on that day, which to a certain degree is just about every U. S. Citizen.
It reaches almost the level of a crime to compare someone like Cruz to the perps of 09/11/01, which King is ultimately doing here.
It smears the legitimate goal of Cruz which is supported by a significant portion of our populace.
In this instance it supports the goals of our nation’s leading Leftists, read that destroyers.
King plays the part of a blithering idiot to do this.
“Holy crap, King has gone over the edge.”
That ship sailed back in the ‘90s when King was a strong supporter of Bubba during the Lewinsky/perjury investigation.
Well, I don't see ANY possibility of a massive, tyrannical government extermination of millions of undesirables, not with THIS scrupulous, serene, and genial kind of rhetoric being thrown around.
I mean, what could POSSIBLY go wrong?
Pete King has been over the edge.
This is the nut that wanted to make it against the law to have a gun anywhere near where a member of congress was.
According to the law he proposed, if he was to walk down your street, you could be arrested for having a gun in your house even though you didn’t know he was going to be there.
That’s a nut.
In times of trouble you know who your friends are.
Congressman King, You are the weakest kink. Goodbye!
Peter King is just another one of those bloated, “corn-fed Republicans”. He ultimately goes with the system so that he’ll get to keep feeding at the trough.
New York liberal republican a la Nelson Rockefeller and Jacob Javits.
King has no chance at being the Presidential nominee. He has no chance of leveraging a primary run into being the VP nominee. I think he’s being set up as a stalking horse candidate intended to prevent Cruz from getting the nomination.
Question is, who’s behalf is he doing it on?
FUPK! The federal government is now funding terrorism abroad. Anyone who is trying to rein it in is actually fighting terrorism.
Another King said the same thing about John Hancock and Sam Adams.
Yup...political suicide by Cruz Missile.
And he's oblivious to the fact that the Tea Party put him in the majority in 2010.
To Peter King, terrorism is fine as long as Irishmen are the terrorists. Muslims, however, are another story.
Cruz is doing terrorism? What would they call it if King’s office were besieged by protestors demanding his resignation?
Wow you really find out who your friends are when the heat is on.
Just As I Have ALWAYS SUSPECTED;A RINO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
