There IS use of contacting SINATORS (sick!), even if from communist states like mine.

I contacted the Injun and Ed Markey.

And, beyond that, there is use in contacting with "pats-on-the-back" the Senators that deserve kudos: Cruz, Lee, Rubio (on this cause), Vitter, and a few others.
