I think its very important for the public to know we are not going to focus on immigration issues, said Rutland. We need information that will help with this case. The smallest detail can help solve a case like this. We are not ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). We are not a federal agency dealing with immigration issues. We just need help with this case.

You know, come to think of it, as few as 10 years ago the media, when reporting on a crime, would REPORT whether suspects or victims were illegal aliens....but now, in its embrace of amnesty, the media mostly ignores this factor.

If they had focused on immigration issues all along, this murder may have never happened.
I agree with the other poster, the wording makes it seem like they know what ‘community’ this crime came from.
