“I constantly find myself asking, What is he really up to?”
I suspect he is looking at the disappearance of Europe’s individual cultures and doesn’t want the same fate for his people. I don’t want it for mine, either.
It is pretty simple really. They have a demographics problem and need to raise their birth rate. The strategy they have chosen is to support families and faith. It is self serving and perhaps for the wrong reason, but it is nice to hear a world leader addressing these issues.
