They'll do ANYthing to get your kid into advanced indoctrination.

When parents realize college IS advanced indoctrination (except specialized institutions .. medical, etc.) the education system will take a hit it can't recover from.

Maybe students should accelerate the payments on their student loans BEFORE they think about ‘buying a home’.

There certainly should not be any penalty for paying off a student loan faster.

Bialosky knew what he was dealing with when he began the interview, a socialist Pacific NW lib-prog college teacher, yet he allowed the legislator to use the word “fair” without a direct challenge. Good article and it’s clear Bialosky scored some points with the guy but the first use of “fair” should have been confronted head-on, IMO.

The best education would be about 40 paperbacks from Penguin Classics followed by 4 years in the Navy.

It used to be if you couldn’t afford a four year State University, you attended community college for two years. If your grades were fabulous you received a full or partial scholarship to a four year institution. You worked during the summer and often part-time through out the year. Which meant you could pay for school yourself.

Fast forward... every graduating high schooler feels they should be able to go “away” to school for the experience. Out of state tuition is notoriously expensive... but who cares, fed and private loans are paying for it.
Who knows what these kids are majoring in, and whether they’ll be able to get a job to pay back $120,000 plus.
