Make a deal to be laid off temporarily with your employer. Actually keep working just on a cash basis. Have no reportable income. Then apply. Then get you job back.

We need a full blown depression and keep the government out of it and let it fix itself like what happened in the depression of 1920 not like what happened in 1929 when FDR totally screwed us and made it last for 12 years.
I have been unemployed for over 2 years. Are food stamps retroactive? Just a joke question. But I would not be embarrased to get food stamps in the future.
Most states have a web site to apply for food stamps. In Va it is called a cardinal card.
