Here is the crux of the problem - you can’t remove something without a substitute to replace it.

What has happened, is that something, a good, workable health services delivery system, has been replaced with something much less workable, Obamacare. The bugs are only now becoming apparent, a vast project started with what turned out to be half-vast ideas and planning. In their haste to pass the abomination known formally as the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010”, no consideration was made as to how to get from where the nation was in 2009 to where it was supposed to be in 2012.

This atrocity pretty much redefines “health insurance” as a Ponzi scheme, delivering some useful benefits to the first recipients of its provisions, but with a broadened base of demands, cannot provide anything like adequate health services to most of the rest of the participants.

Perhaps some may be familiar with the principle in physics called entropy. In any closed system, the rate of losses of useful energy as compared to the energy available will eventually degrade all forms of energy into heat, which in sufficiently high concentration, makes any further useful work impossible. This is covered by something called “The Three Laws of Thermodynamics”.

In a succinct and simple explanation, the British scientist and author C.P. Snow had an excellent way of remembering the three laws:

1.You cannot win (that is, you cannot get something for nothing, because matter and energy are conserved).

2.You cannot break even (you cannot return to the same energy state, because there is always an increase in disorder; entropy always increases).

3.You cannot get out of the game (because absolute zero is unattainable).

Energy isn’t just energy. Rather, it must of course unite with information in order to become useful.
