During the last government shut down, I seem to remember the military getting paid.

During the last government shutdown the spending limit hadn't been reached.

How can NOT passing a new debt ceiling cause us not to pay the military ?

If you can't borrow money you have to live on what revenue is coming in. That money has to go to non-discretionary spending first before discretionary spending. That's the law. Defense is considered discretionary spending. If there isn't anything left over after the non-discretionary spending is covered then the troops won't get paid.

O can only spend that which has been approved by Congress, the Senate, and he himself signed off on. In this case, the DOD’s budget has been made into law. Yet, on his on, he cuts death benefits to the family’s of those who died. Do you really need more example of his hatred of our military?
