CO2 levels need to at least double if the flora and fauna on this planet are expected to survive. Carbon cycle, nitrogen cycle, all of our energy comes from the sun, and the plants that collect and store that energy for us need those. There's not enough free carbon in the atmosphere left to keep the cycle going. Most of it is trapped in carbonate rocks, and unavailable for photosynthesis. You could dig up all of the carbon on the planet, and burn it, and it still wouldn’t be enough. We are living in a biological desert at this time, based on geological records.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls our climates.
3. The earth is a rock.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?
