A one-time contributor to former Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. who was also a figure in the scandal surrounding imprisoned former Gov. Rod Blagojevich pleaded guilty in a medical fraud case.

At Blagojevich's first corruption trial in 2010, prosecutors said a witness was prepared to testify that Jackson instructed Nayak to raise money for Blagojevich's campaign. In exchange, the Jackson supporters would allegedly ask Blagojevich for an appointment to President Barack Obama's former Senate seat.

The son of an Oak Brook man who was a key figure in the probe of Rod Blagojevichs attempt to sell President Barack Obama s old Senate seat, was selected for a prestigious internship in the Obama White House.
Raghuveer Nayak s son, who is a student attending Yale University, will serve as a summer 2013 intern, according to a list released by the White House on Tuesday.
The student, who ran unsuccessfully for alderman in Connecticut, volunteered on Obama s presidential campaign.
