The farther they can go in putting Dems or squishy RINO’s on record against the defunding, and the greater the awareness they can raise about the GOP versus Democrat positioning on the issue, the better for 2014 and 2016. (As long as they don’t go nominating another Romneycare candidate—yes, they are still undoing the damage caused by Mitt.)
Next thing the Republicans should start doing is attacking the media for their support of this monstrosity instead of fairly reporting on it.
