I agree with all at the twitter account.

For me, though, the message that resonates is that we are talking about a funding issue, a continuing resolution. It is the RESPONSIBILITY of the House of Representative by the Constitution.

So, if they say: We’re paying all the old bills, but we’re not adding new ones, in particular, this huge bill right here called Obamacare, then that makes sense to me.

If I wanted to buy the new corvette that’s coming out, and my wife who keeps the books said, “We can afford everything else, but We can’t afford that a new car payment like that.”, then I wouldn’t attack her saying that she was trying to shut down the family and stop paying all bills.

I would assume we can’t afford that new bill.

Two pronged IMHO:

Funding as you say.

But particularly important that it's defunding a horribly destructive, unpopular bill shoved down the public throats by a party that doesn't care.

I was wondering if defunding was a good strategy, now I’m sure. Thanks, Karl.

This is the guy who advised Bush to take a "no defense" strategy into the political hothouse, thereby enabling the democrats to demonize Bush and all other republicans, gain large majorities in Congress and ultimately take the White House. What did he have to sell?

These epic (2010 election) gains happened primarily because independents voted Republican.

From the guy who brought Bush 43 to an approval rating of 22% ~ 26%. In order to get that low Bush and Rove had to lose every Democrat voter, every independent voter and a third to a half of the Republican voters. Good job Karl!

Nevertheless Karl, That's good to hear, I thought the massive support of Conservatives and TEA Party folks was key to the 2010 victories. Now that we know that the Republicans don't need our votes to win, we can vote for our ideals and not worry about the Republican Party as they have the independent voters.

I do have a question Karl, after the huge Republican victories in the 2010 elections, what happened in the horrible 2012 elections?

You NE establishment Republicans ran the most moderate of all candidates, Mitt Romney, a liberal Governor from the most liberal state in the union and father of RomneyCare, as the Presidential candidate. According to your expertise Republicans should have owned the independent voters and picked up a lot of Democrat votes as well, how is it possible that you lost big?

I wonder if the Bushes still believe in Rove. Didn’t they turn aside Lee Atwater shortly before his death in 1991?

For years he has been advising the Republicans to draw the defensive line for the final apocalyptic battle just a little behind the current location, only to advise abandoning that line once the Dems get into sight. If Rove was French he would have surrendered Vichy before the Germans even asked for it.

Good one.

P.S. think Karl is the “ architect” behind Obamas “ Red Line “ :):)

Wellington: We hold the crest of the hill and the advancing French are battle weary. What do you recommend Karl?

Rove: We should get the hell out of here and on a boat for London where we can sip tea in safety.

Wellington: Why do you say that?

Rove: There is no way we can beat Napoleon and we may as well enjoy the tea before he conquers England.

Wellington: Hmmm, are you sure you are on our side?

Excellent

Karl is always looking for a different hill to fight on. For him and his ilk the less strenuous and logical ones are to be found farther to our rear.

You know, the ones back there just short of our baggage train filled with our women and children?
