We travel only by car, and never leave the USA, but we always takes lots of food to eat along the way and in case of trouble. Pnut butter, crackers, cheese, summer sausage, chips, black olives, grape tomatos, anything we can consume while driving or stopped at a roadside park and can fit into a large ice chess and a bag. At our destination, we always plan on a picnic with our provisions, and eat in our motel room. That’s the only was we can travel; on the cheap.
We’re actually in Puerto Vallarta right now...the storm went south of here and then reformed north of here. Beautiful weather here though... :-)
I cut my Acapulco off once. It grew back!
Don’t drink the water ;^)
Yep. Drank lots of beer and (bottled) cokes, that trip. Don’t really care for either, but did not want ANYTHING with ice or water!
One of the news readers tonight mentioned that the name Acapulco comes from an Indian word for “Washed Away”.
I don't go overseas anymore. Son lives in London, but I can't do that trip anymore. I never did get to Israel and wish I had. The worst place was mainland China. The finest place was Monaco.
Husband and I traveled by car for lots of Republican stuff, plus went to Las Vegas to meet my son and family there and traveled around that part of the country. We always loaded the car with food stuffs. We always had a blast good time going by car. He could find anything and never make a wrong turn. I can get turned around super easy so I would look at the map because I'm good at that, and we managed to get where we needed to go.
Wasn’t there a Freeper down there during the storm? They posted a thread and then had to leave wherever it was they were? Am I’m misremembering?
Not really bizarre. You probably had the chicken.
It is awful to get sick like that on a plane but at least there is a bathroom. I picked up some kind of bug in Switzerland, of all places. It first hit me on a bus through the Alps, a bus with no bathroom. I thought I would die between stops. It hung on for about 6 weeks, getting a little better each week.
Always stick to the lasagna.
Elvis looks good for 78!
Better than BJ Clinton at 67 LOL.
We have had auto breakdowns in the middle of nowhere, so we rent a car nowadays. WE will pick a restaurant every other day, and eat in motel other days. We only buy gas and motels when we go, buy our food from Wally’s grocery, so it is low budget vacationing. Our interest is seeing what God has put here for us to admire, the great and wonderful beauty of His creation.
Surfing or fishing in a corrupt toilet just doesn't have much appeal. It ain't the 60s or 70s anymore.
The waves and the swells still come. Of course there is Costa Rica and Nicaragua that are becoming more popular.
I do, now.
“Old” Elvis looks a bit like Rock Hudson.
