...

North Carolina now joins Arizona, Kansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Tennessee, according to Religion News Service, in banning Islamic Sharia law. A constitutional amendment seeking the same change in Alabama will be on the 2014 ballot. In Missouri, the governor vetoed an anti-Sharia bill because of its potential impact on international adoptions.

But the law in Oklahoma was struck down in court as unconstitutional,

The Governor in Missouri needs to re-think his position.
Adoptions usually are to provide a better place for children in trouble.

Sharia Law won’t provide anything better.

Freedom of Religion, I suppose or some BS.

Is there anyone organizing and pushing for legislation ANYWHERE in the States for an amendment that will consider “Islam” a cult, and not a religion? What is the definition of a religion anyways, seems like you could get away with a lot if you belonged to any made up group and called it religious.

Destroy the foundation and the rest crumbles. (much like Obama and minions doing everything they can to hurt the economy).

I’m Bad, I’m Nationwide
ZZ TOP
Songwriters: FRANK LEE BEARD, JOE MICHAEL HILL, BILLY F GIBBONS

Well I was rollin’ down the road in some cold blue steel,
I had a blues man in back, and a beautician at the wheel.
We going downtown in the middle of the night
We laughing and I’m jokin’ and we feelin’ alright.
Oh I’m bad, I’m nationwide.
Yes I’m bad, I’m nationwide.

Easin’ down the highway in a new Cadillac,
I had a fine fox in front, I had three more in the back.
They sportin’ short dresses, wearin’ spike-heel shoes,
They smokin’ Lucky Strikes, and wearing nylons too.
‘Cause we bad, we nationwide.
Yeah we bad, we nationwide.

Well I was movin’ down the road in my V-8 Ford,
I had a shine on my boots, I had my sideburns lowered.
With my New York brim and my gold tooth displayed,
Nobody give me trouble cause they know I got it made.
I’m bad, I’m nationwide.
Well I’m bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, I’m nationwide...............

I don’t understand why it needs to be banned. It is not the law of our land. Do we formally ban, German, Italian or Swedish law?

But the law in Oklahoma was struck down in court as unconstitutional,

State religion-related laws are getting into 14th Amendment territory imo. However judges interpret such laws, Section 1 of the 14th Amendment prohibits the states from making laws which abridge enumerated constitutonal protections which includes freedom of religious expression.

to prohibit state judges from considering Islamic law in family cases

Some of the pronouncements encased in the sharia law of mohammedums are

1) stoning of adulterers
2) cutting of the hands of thieves
3) killing apostates

A state would have to be filled with idiots to vote for sharia law. Banks can not charge interest on loans under sharia law. Women have no rights under sharia law. You can murder your wife and children and get away with it simply by saying they dishonored your family name under sharia law. You can marry a pre-pubescent child under sharia law and have sex with her even though it kills her. The law is barbaric and satanic.

It just seems to me that if we enforce OUR laws, Sharia Law would automatically be null and void.

Gods law says adulterers shall be stoned to death. The bible isn’t ban....oh....wait, never mind.

At least banning Sharia Law is a step in the right direction, the Muslims can flock to the states that allow it. Us conservatives can flock to the states that don’t.

More drawing lines in the sand.
