Congressman: CIA Employee Who Refused to Sign Non-Disclosure on Benghazi Suspended
Washington Free Beacon ^

A CIA employee who refused to sign a non-disclosure agreement barring him from discussing the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, has been suspended as a result and forced to hire legal counsel, according to a top House lawmaker.

Rep. Frank Wolf (R., Va.) revealed at an event on Monday that his office was anonymously informed about the CIA employee, who is purportedly facing an internal backlash after refusing to sign a legal document barring him from publicly or privately discussing events surrounding the Benghazi attack.

The revelation comes about a month after several media outlets reported that CIA employees with knowledge of the terror attack had been forced to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDA) and submit to regular polygraph tests.

“The reports on the NDA are accurate. We’re getting people who call,” Wolf said Monday during an event marking the launch of the Citizens’ Commission on Benghazi, a panel of former military and intelligence officials who are investigating unanswered questions surrounding the Benghazi incident.

Suspicion: Disclosure that the US was smuggling chemical weapons from Libya to the Syrian rebels would not be convenient at this time.

Infuriating. I fear we’ll never know the absolute truth.

He has most likely signed other agreements to keep information confidential. If he comes forward they can and will arrest him and hold him under the Homeland Security act. (Can’t recall the exact name of it.) But he can be held indefinitely without access to a lawyer.

They are not. Congress can talk to them all they want.

ya, they have to do it through the MSM and hope someone replies.

But congress can ask all the questions they want.

We KNOW things happened in Benghazi that will hurt Obama and Hillary if they became public.

And, we KNOW Big Media won’t touch this story, just for that very reason, unless it’s right in their face. We NEED someone to publicly testify to make it unavoidable!

All it takes to open the Benghazi dam is one guy who refuses to be intimidated .... could this be the case here?

America could use a hero right about now, as an antidote to to what’s in the White House.

Isn't there a federal law (or two or three) against this? Whistleblower protection laws prohibit sanctions on any employee disclosing a violation of the law or any kind of unethical conduct.

There must be somebody on our side who's willing to take this case on and get to the bottom of this stink hole. Who will step up to the plate?

First, and foremost...they’d have to sit there and write down what exactly happened...line by line, and then have some officer bless it as classified at a certain level.

Maybe they can find such a guy who’d sign off on it being classified....but then the question is...you’ve got a written record of what went on....line by line. That gets to being messy (you ask the Nazis about that in WW II). My humble guess is that no one has written a real report over this...simply a summary, which had a classification stamp on it.

If this guy stands up and says something....over a non-existent record or non-existent document...then it’s not a violation. They may pretend it is...but it doesn’t stand up in a military or civilian court. Regulations are based on factual records or data...without that....there is no violation.

I should add this...if this had been an actual US military or CIA operation...with thousands of lines of text over the conduct, timing, or actions....then he’d be in trouble over comments about that. Strangely enough...there was no US operation underway (unless they admit that the ambassador was on a secret mission).

It’d seem to me....they just dig more into a empty legal pit if this guy goes public and says things which aren’t recorded anywhere.

“Isn’t there a federal law (or two or three) against this?”

The NWO agenda supercedes any Federal or State law. Further, the Constitution does not apply when it could hurt the obamas or the Clintons.

Didn’t you get the memo?
