I assume they hid it because if it was known they would have got backlash over changing the policy to allow gay troops.

The Boy Scouts were selling popcorn outside of the grocery store last week. Since I can’t eat popcorn, I always gave them a contribution instead.
This time I just blew right past them. No way.
I’ve been noticing that for a long time.
IMO they wish to destroy the organization completely.
The same leftwingers who want the Catholic Church trashed for sex abuse, have been trashing the Boy Scouts for trying to prevent it.
My dad was a scoutmaster from 1940 till about 1963. He told me of incidents of molestation of younger boys by older boys. her dealt with it firmly and quietly.
One weekend at camp, an older boy tried to molest me in front of some of my friends. We relentlessly mocked that guy all weekend, calling him “jack” because of what he was trying to make me do.
And to think that the closeted homosexuals would do this but now they want to up the ante by demanding openly homosexuals in amongst their candy!

Yeah, that really is a problem.
Obviously the solution is to re-define sexual abuse so that sexual contact between adults and non-adults is OKAY as long as one of the parties BELIEVE it is consensual.
That way, there is lots of leeway for sodomites to follow their perversion without punishment.
Meanwhile all of the thousands of sexual abuse cases in the public schools are considered “isolated incidents” with no reflection on the NEA, school boards, or industry.
It’s too late to do anything about it now. Recent changes to BSA membership policy makes that perfectly acceptable behavior.
